Layer your cottagecore dream outfit with our new Fjord Dress
While planning how to best make this dress, I had home in mind. In Norway, one of our biggest cultural prides is our national costume - Bunads - usually a pinafore cut dress styled over a beautiful blouse. I wanted the newest CottagecoreWear dress to embody some of that historic and cultural beauty of my home, and so the Fjord Dress came to be.
The Fjord Dress has both front and back lacing, making it adjustable for several stages of body fluctuation. My goal has always been that my pieces can be worn for a lifetime, and accommodate changes both throughout a day and for life. Both lacing methods also come with lacing that matches the fabric of the dress, with the ability to change this out for any lacing one may desire. Just like the bunads of Norway. With a defining waistline and a voluminous skirt, the dress makes for a super darling silhouette. It closes fully with an invisible side zipper - with hooks and eyes closure to support - , and with the ability to perfectly cinch your fit by adjusting the back and front lacing. It was also important to me that the Fjord Dress was made in natural, breathable fabric, so that it always feels comfortable on your body. The cotton-linen mix is just that. A perfect bridge of weight, so that the dress has a great drape, but also with a cotton addition to combat the natural wrinkle of linen. And of course, in true CottagecoreWear style - Fjord does feature a hidden pocket for all your daily essentials!
Original design by CottagecoreWear in-house, and manufactured in a limited quantity in collaboration with a small ethical Chinese production site. Made in a 100% natural cotton-linen mix, in a midi-length. The dress is fully lined in soft cotton, for both opaqueness, warmth and comfort. This order ships from our offices in Norway.
