I was born in Norway, and I was raised amidst fjords, forests, mountains and northern lights.
Cottagecore is like second nature to me.

In 2020, while studying for my masters in Women's History at Oxford, I started CottagecoreWear. In the beginning, making stays and dresses was a creative outlet, and a way in which I could better imagine the historic scenes which I was studying closely during my long hours in the library. Throughout my studies, I continued to run CottagecoreWear from my university dorm.

One year later, and following my graduation from university, I decided to take CottagecoreWear full-time. In the process, I have been able to bring together several of my passions, from the history that I studied, to delicate cottagecore clothing, sustainability and inclusivity.

Still today, CottagecoreWear is not a fast fashion nor trend-based brand. Instead, my main goal is that you can find that perfect life-long piece of clothing from my collection.
