The perfect stays, made to fit your body like a dream! These stays are based of mid 18th century style of stays, but a slightly less scoop front than our Georgian Back Lacing Stays. The stays feature optional lace to the front, back lacing and light plastic boning, which will gradually shape and adjust to your body as your body heat will naturally mold the stays. Modern tweaks make the garment comfortable to wear all day, with less restriction and more ease. The stays can be worn either to cinch the waist and lift the bosom, creating a flattering and supportive silhouette, or worn more loosely over clothing as desired.
How to determine your size:
In order to customise these stays, we need your bust and waist measurements. See the "How to take my measurements" page for more information on how to best take your measurements. If you are particularly tall or short, please also include this in the personalisation box.
How to determine your fabric, bias tape and ribbon colour:
You will have to choose two fabrics. The stays are reversible, which means that the outer and inner fabric can both be worn as either layer. Additionally, you will have to choose your ribbon, eyelet and bias tape colour. The current available options are shown and indicated by numbers here.
Details needed when purchasing this item:
Your measurements (bust and waist), your desired ribbon, eyelets and bias/edging colour, your fabric choices (indicated by numbers) and whether you would like the lace front addition. These details can either be submitted in the personalisation box when checking out or messaged to us using the contact form after completing the purchase.
Keep in mind that laces get worn down with wear, and may have to be replaced with time. We recommend to wear a garment i.e a light top or dress under the stays, in order to wick sweat and extend the lifespan of the garment; just as it would traditionally have been worn in the 18th century! We also recommend reading the shipping page for more details on ordering and process times. This item is hand made for its wearer, and the process time is currently 6-10 weeks.
