Shopping for clothes has always been a challenging experience for me. As a curvy, non-standard sized woman, learning what styles flatter me and make me feel feminine has been a long journey of discovery.
I am so incredibly happy that I found Oda and the beautiful clothes she creates through CottagecoreWear. This dress is such beautiful quality and fills me with confidence. It has a beautiful weight to it and the linen/cotton mix feels so nice - I love having the opportunity to purchase beautiful clothing in natural materials!
It is perfect with the Ruth top, but I love that I can have a more "everyday" look (for me) without a blouse underneath. I also love that this dress has a pocket (on the right-hand side), but I do find it amusing that I keep forgetting which side it is on (maybe that's a left-handed person problem?). I have found doing the zip up by myself a little bit challenging. But my solution is to not put my arms through the armholes when I put the dress on, twist the dress so the zip is at the front, do the zip up, and then twist the dress back to the right place. It's easy to then do the shoulder straps up before doing the lacing at the back (which I found surprising easy to do by myself!).
Sizing details: I went on measurements for my bust and waist and ordered a 2X. Despite my hips being outside of the 2X size range, the skirt of the dress is very generous so I have no issues fitting my wide hips! I also have a high waist and love how the corset top cinches me in perfectly (although a couple of extra bones around the sides and back would be nice to help minimise the back bulge). I also feel supported enough to wear this dress without a bra, but the straps are wide enough that it is easy enough to wear a bra with minimal visibility. The length is absolutely perfect for me too (I'm roughly 5'5, or 167cm) but I am excited to eventually buy this dress in the midi length too!

What can I say but this dress is amazing . So comfy and such great quality . I will definitely be getting it in more colours I absolutely love it . And I’ll be wearing it for many years to come . If your thinking of getting it than do get it you won’t regret it . I’m only 5”0 - 5”1 so it’s like a maxi dress on me and I got a size medium (I’m usually a size 10 uk size ) but could have easily gotten a small as it’s super stretchy . Highly recommend and I got compliments on how beautiful it looks and it’s perfect for the autumn winter months

Words cannot describe how much I absolutely adore this dress! As a plus size girlie, it can be so difficult to find well-made garments that work for my body type. I can tell how much thought and love went into the design and manufacturing of this dress, and it is an absolute joy to wear!! I super appreciate the adjustability. I would definitely recommend checking your measurements to get the right size; I ordered a 2XL and it fits perfectly! I look forward to frolicking in a field in my best dress soon :)

I'm going to get this in every color, I swear. I love this dress so much. I was worried since I've been gaining weight that the boning would make the dress uncomfortable but it didn't! Which is even more surprising because I got an XL, but after double checking the size chart I realize I should have gotten a XXL, but even so, it still fits comfortably and I'm super happy with it. I wear it any time I get the chance. This is my favorite piece I've gotten here so far, and I've loved everything so that says a lot. I feel confindent, regal, and beautiful in this dress.
